Job Description

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Head of Engineering to drive our technical strategy and lead our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, ERP development, and implementation of our technology solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our technology stack aligns with business objectives, delivering an outstanding customer experience. Responsibilities : - Technical Leadership : Mentor and guide the development team, upholding best practices in coding, architecture, and design patterns. - Strategic Planning : Work with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and develop actionable plans. - Architecture & Design : Lead architectural decisions and select the technology stack, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. - Development Oversight : Manage the development process, including code reviews, continuous integration, and deployment, ensuring high-quality code and timely feature delivery. - Problem Solving : Identify and address technical challenges and performance bottlenecks to improve system reliability and efficiency. - Innovation : Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for innovative solutions to gain a competitive advantage. - Collaboration : Build a collaborative environment within the team and across departments, effectively communicating with non-technical stakeholders. - Quality Assurance : Implement rigorous testing and validation processes to deliver a robust, error-free product. - ERP System Oversight : Oversee effective integration of Sales, Purchase, Finance, Manufacturing, and Inventory modules within the ERP system. Qualifications, Skills, And Competencies : - 12-15 years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. - Experience in technical leadership within a D2C or e-commerce setting is highly desirable. - Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g, JavaScript, Python, Java) and frameworks (e.g, React, Node.js, Django). - Experience with cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture is a plus. - Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a development team, with strong decision-making and multitasking skills. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a capacity for innovative solutions. - Strong communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
