Their innovative approach combines two CO2 desorption technologies to overcome the limitations of current processes, making large-scale deployment feasible without unsustainable energy, land, or water usage.
Job General scope:
My client is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join their team in Paris. This key role involves supporting the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in advancing the engineering and technological development of the DAC technology.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) study and project management of a 1-tonne-per-day pilot plant.
This is a crucial position within the organization, offering high autonomy and the potential for career growth.
Main Objectives:
- Lead the project management of the pilot unit (planning, budget) for a commissioning in summer 2025. To include the definition of project development strategy and the management of internal and external resources (engineering services, equipment suppliers…)
- Perform FEED studies for the pilot, including production of PFDs, P&IDs, pilot sketches, and equipment nomenclature.
- Define equipment specifications, send inquiries to suppliers, and manage equipment supply, including contract management, within budget, timeline, and performance constraints.
- Manage external engineering contractors for the pilot assembly.
- Lead the development of the complete process model in collaboration with the R&D team, including transfer to AspenPlus.
- Contribute to the process scale-up strategy by taking inputs from the R&D team and providing directions for R&D developments.
- Secure technico-economic assessments at industrial scale.

Qualification requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years in chemical process engineering and/or project management. Must have a proven track record in managing pilot or industrial projects, including planning and budget control.
- Project Management Expertise: Extensive experience managing the full lifecycle of pilot or plant projects, encompassing process design, supplier and contract management, construction, delivery, and commissioning.
- Technical Expertise: Experience in designing, operating, and supporting research-scale pilots or commercial plants. Expertise with electrodialysis, electrolytic processes, or handling continuous gas-liquid systems, including absorption, scrubbing, compression, and liquefaction.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of French is beneficial but not required.
