ARGA Investment Management - Data Engineer - R/Python

Job Description : At ARGA Investment Management, we are seeking a Data Engineer with expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and analysis to join our investment management team in Chennai. This role focuses on designing efficient data storage, optimizing data retrieval, and building ETL processes that drive impactful business decisions. Responsibilities : - Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support our analytics and reporting needs. - Study, analyze and understand business requirements related to data. - Design and develop data models - conceptual, logical and physical. - Design, implement and maintain data warehouses and data marts. - Involved in selection and design of efficient data storage structures, and optimization of data retrieval for reporting and analytics purposes. - Design and implement ETL processes and workflows. - Analyze data to derive insights and support business decision-making. - Implement data encryption, masking, and auditing techniques. Experience (to be treated as generic guidelines exceptions welcomed) : - 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer. - 2 years of working experience in investment management domain. - Proficiency with different database technologies - SQL and NoSQL. - Familiarity with database management systems - SQL Server, MySQL. - Proficiency in data warehouse concepts, structures, and best practices. - Proficiency in using data analysis tools and languages like Python, R, or SAS. - Knowledge of ETL tools like Power BI. - Familiarity with data visualization tools. - Experience in working in Azure cloud platforms. Qualifications : Any one of the following educational qualifications : - Master of Science (Data Science). - Bachelor of Technologies (Computer Science or IT). - Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science or IT). - Master of Computer Applications.
