PURPOSE OF THE ROLE / POSITION
Within Processes, Information Technology & Digital Group Department (Group IT), as Data Steward you are in charge of managing and developing the “Track and Trace domain”.
You are in charge of animating, supporting the domain development and rollout for the Group, supporting our Group Data Driven Strategy engaged between the Group functions and our Business Units. You will support common Process implemented by the Group: GeoStatus, which holds Track and Trace language and GeoData, standard data exchange within the group network.
You will work under the lead of the Data steward leader. You will work closely with your peers within Group IT department to steer cross-functional work. You are working in permanent Group Business functions (Marketing, Operations and Sales) and Data experts, in the group and in BUs, to optimize the management of your Data Domain.
This responsibility is highly contributing to transform the organization into a Data driven company and to value the Data assets. It includes designing and implementing best practices, driving and facilitating the transformation. This includes setting all Process and Solutions to secure group Track and Trace Referentials within the appropriate Data Architecture, Data Quality, Data Standards, Data Strategy, and Data Governance.
This position interacts in close cooperation with business stakeholders from Geopost functions Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service from Group and BUs and with CDO’s departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main activities / deliverables are:
- Provide strategic guidance on MDM best practices for Track and Trace domain.
- Establish and update roadmaps based on business ambitions.
- Report risks/issues and define mitigation strategies with stakeholders.
- Guide the definition and roll-out of data governance strategies, policies, and processes.
- Provide Track and Trace data expertise and facilitate discussions with key stakeholders to identify Business Processes, reference data needs, and functional dependencies.
- Lead the GeoStatus standard
- Design Data Models, including entity relationship models and data hierarchies in UML.
- Lead the implementation of data governance workflows, business rules, and data integration, ensuring effective communication through different channels and formats, and formalize the process with comprehensive documentation.
- Interact with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT project leader to prioritize MDM enhancements.
- Conduct data cleansing tasks for Track and Trace data.
- Maintain Geopost Data Catalog for the Track and Trace domain.
- Support integration, system, and user acceptance testing, and manage migration strategies.
- Support process and tools deployment for Track and Trace, addressing user issues.
- Administrate Track and Trace data with business owners.
PROFILE & SKILLS
Main Skills:
Practical leadership in master data management, principles, methodology, notation & associated tools (UML based)
A deep understanding of data lifecycle (data profiling, data quality, master data management)
- A strong understanding and experience in re-organisation of Data Governance principles
Must have a technical background and be able to understand data integration, data modelling, MDM workflow, especially in decentralized IT Environments
- Ability to interact (drive, coach …) a non-technology audience in MDM journey.
Experience in transport and parcel delivery industry or curious quick learner
- Ability to work autonomously.
Experience in complex multi-BU, multi-cultural environnement desired
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams and to make project presentations.
3+ years' experience effectively working on master data management, processes and procedures across various functional domains preferred.
Experience in working in agile environment.
