Overview: One of our large European clients based in Paris is urgently recruiting for an Architect with experience in Cisco Information Server (Composite), databases (Talend and Big Data a plus).

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Design overall IT Architecture solution for a large project, including the identification of the relevant tools and the implementation of Security Policies.
• Propose a data model and work with staff to ensure the model can efficiently support all data of interest.
• Collaborate with Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse experts to ensure the model efficiently supports BI analytics.
• Assist in the analysis of solutions to support Business Intelligence, Data Virtualization, and Databases.
• Design databases' logical model for Trade Repositories’ transaction-level and position-level data from incoming data specifications.
• Propose management tools and processes.
• Participate in writing functional and technical specifications of applications or data.
• Participate in writing technical documentation for tender procedures.
• Work with colleagues and users to collect requirements, analyze and evaluate proposals, conduct negotiations, and implement specifications according to defined architectural standards.

Education and Qualifications:

University or college degree in computer engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related discipline, or professional experience and qualification in IT architecture methodologies.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of BI Analytics, Data Virtualization (especially Cisco Information Server/Composite), databases (Talend and Big Data a plus), and Data Warehouse.
• Strong knowledge of state-of-the-art IT methodologies and tools for Data Warehouse, Dimensional Modelling, OLAP, data management (including security policies implementation), and metadata management.
• Proven ability to translate technological issues into a business context.
• Experience in identifying technical solutions for business requirements.
• Experience in team/group facilitation, project management, and training would be an advantage.
