Job Description

In this role you will:

  1. Develop enterprise Data Architectures strategies and provide solution recommendations in support of business strategies.
  2. Work across all phases of data modeling, from conceptualization to visualization and database optimization. This extends to SQL development and database administration.
  3. Review business requests for data and data usage, research data sources and create requirements documentation.
  4. Coordinate design and develop new data sources and usage ensuring consistency and integration with existing warehouse structure.
  5. Design extract, transform and load logic of data, analyze data logs to enhance performance and increase functionality.
  6. Design control and monitoring mechanisms to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  7. Coordinate development of and/or develop BI presentation layers.
  8. Design, develop, test and deploy dashboards, scorecards, reports and alerts/notifications for the presentation of business metrics according to business user requirements consistent with integrated BI applications and warehouse structure.
  9. Develop support documents for BI applications and provide user support and training.
  10. Lead design of high-level conceptual and logical models that facilitate a cross-system/cross-functional view of data requirements.
  11. Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
  12. Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement.
  13. Conduct data capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks.
  14. Collaborate with project managers and business unit leaders for all projects involving enterprise data.
  15. Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement.
  16. Provide consultation during business requirements gathering efforts.
  17. May work with organization departments to design and develop data marts.
  18. Design, develop, and implement the data architecture for a data warehouse, including high-performance ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) tools, routines and infrastructure.
  19. Lead Data Profiling and Data Quality analysis using SQL or other query-based analysis.
  20. Develop and implement solutions for cleansing data to remove errors and ensure consistency.
  21. Recognize and leverage data sources both internally and externally to enhance the analysis capabilities.
  22. Reverse engineer data specifications from source systems through data discovery, analysis, and other techniques.
Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information science, or related field required.
  2. At least ten years of information technology experience -- architecture/engineering, information security, or related experience.
  3. At least 3-5 years of data architecture experience, with expertise in both transactional and data warehouse modeling.
  4. Master data management and data governance experience desired.
  5. Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  6. Salient CRGT will not sponsor work visas for this opening.
