As a Consultant Ophthalmologist, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare system by providing specialised expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic conditions. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Diagnosis and management of a wide range of ophthalmic conditions and disorders.
2. Providing expert guidance on ocular emergencies and urgent care.
3. Collaborating with other medical professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
4. Participating in the on-call rota, ensuring 24/7 coverage for ophthalmic cases.
5. Teaching and mentoring junior medical staff, students, and trainees.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Active or in process specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council.
2. Experience as a Consultant Ophthalmologist.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
