Chief People Officer - Part time (50-80%)

What You’ll Do

We are looking for a fractional Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead our People team in shaping an environment and delivering an employee experience that attracts and retains top talent and enables a high-performing organisation. We want to be a great place to work where People Experience is a key point of differentiation and retention as well as contribute to build a unique value proposition in the market.

Specifically, you’ll lead on:

  1. Defining and implementing HR strategy & policies globally, setting the company up to scale;
  2. Overseeing all our People & Culture operations: Employer Branding, Talent Acquisition, People Experience, People Operations and Office Management;
  3. Managing a team of 2-3 people, with high potential to grow.
ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Employer Branding
  1. Plan and implement a yearly hiring plan ensuring that the recruitment needs are aligned to the business roadmap (budget, managers, business objectives).
  2. Oversee the recruitment policy globally.
  3. Monitor recruitment performance: monthly reporting of ongoing projects and recruitment activity as a whole, monitoring of KPIs.
  4. Work with the Branding team to define a clear Employer Value Proposition and build a strong Employer Branding inside and outside.
Employee Experience (Learning and development, Talent Management, C&B, Culture)
  1. Define and implement a training strategy fully integrated in each career path.
  2. Implement a best-in-class process for performance reviews and feedback cycles (objectives settings, mid-year appraisals, people reviews, 360 feedback).
  3. Build a strong corporate culture in all geographies (France, UK and other), hand-in-hand with managers (values, corporate rituals, attitudes, charters).
  4. Work with the finance teams to ensure an attractive compensation & benefits policy while respecting internal pay equity.
People Ops
  1. Supervise payroll topics in order to ensure the compliance of HR processes and data.
  2. Supervise all legal related topics: social organisations, the legal part related to the employment of people from different nationalities, etc.
  3. Build and implement the right metrics to drive HR performance and optimise the use of people analytics to manage talent and make business and strategic recommendations.
  4. Ensure a good social climate (gender equality, remote-work, legal).
Team Management & Budget
  1. Manage the HR team on a daily basis and ensure that each team member has a performance-based roadmap (e.g. clear objectives).
  2. Build and monitor the HR Budget.

We’re looking for experienced people leaders with great EQ and a passion for People. Specifically, they will exhibit:

  1. A passion for people, with high self-awareness and exceptional EQ, showing successful delivery across recruitment, employee growth, culture, and engagement.
  2. At least 10 years of experience working in a people team, including leading the team and building, hiring, managing, and scaling a high-performing global People team in a fast-growing company.
  3. Experience working with and reporting to C-Suite and Senior Leadership.
  4. Previous experience in proactively improving People processes for scaling organisations.
  5. A culture leader, bringing a sense of humour to work, with high energy and drive.
  6. The ability to influence stakeholders with compelling, data-driven insights and storytelling.
  7. A strategic mindset with skills to stay at the top of tactical execution and translate business challenges and questions into People strategy.
  8. A data-driven mindset with a history of decision-making based on business metrics, quickly defining, tracking, and analyzing KPIs to take action.
  9. Experience working on people teams in France and strong knowledge of French labour law.
  10. Excellent oral & written communication in English.
