Job Description
A Consultant would have a few years of experience working in a management consultancy with proven ability to own and be responsible for project deliverables within the financial services sector. You will be involved in delivering strategic and transformational client engagements, often multiple projects at a time.

Your Responsibilities
As a consultant, you will contribute actively to international projects and work closely with other consultants, business analysts and partners from different EDC offices. You will already have previous knowledge of the payment industry, experience in consulting and your responsibilities will include:
- Research and keep abreast of trends and developments within the payments industry and our clients’ portfolio
- Create financial management models and business cases
- Develop creative approaches to data gathering
- Apply analytical tools and techniques to solve complex problems
- Conduct detailed analyses, draw conclusions and assess implications
- Develop written analyses and reports related to each project engagement
- Write articles on EDC perspectives of industry trends impacting our clients
- Maintain and cultivate client relationships
Requirements and Skills
- An undergraduate degree with distinction (at least a 2:1 or honors) or graduate degree (MBA or related Masters) from a top-tier university
- From 2 to 3 years professional experience minimum in a global financial services consultancy and/or in a payments-related company
- Fluency in English, both written and oral is required with strong presentation and communication skills (you will regularly speak with high-level executives)
- A second language (such as French, Spanish, Italian, German) at a level of business conversation would be an advantage
- Experience working in small teams and with little supervision
- Excellent project management; ability to do what it takes to adhere to milestone timing
- Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and high-quality standards
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
- Strong knowledge and interest in the payments industry, including credit and debit cards, private label credit cards, ACH - instant payments, SEPA, the second European Payments Services Directive (PSD2) and other related regulations, including PCI DSS, EMV, etc.
- Robust experience of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
