We are looking for a Sustainability Analyst who will support and assist in delivering high-impact services and solutions that create value for the customer, reduce financial and environmental impact, and develop/monitor performance against customer goals and strategies. Overall, the Sustainability Analyst will have a disciplined focus on supporting the broader Sustainability Operations team in the Americas, as well as providing and supporting the delivery of sustainability services and solutions in South America.

Responsibilities:
  1. Research, distill and communicate impacts of market developments on client programs;
  2. Work with client stakeholders to track and communicate corporate targets, strategies, and goals through activities such as quantitative analysis, competitive benchmarking, and implementation planning;
  3. Develop greenhouse gas (GHG) / carbon emissions inventories, water footprints, waste footprints, and other social & governance metrics through data collection, data analysis, and emission factor application;
  4. Support client corporate reporting such as CDP, GRESB, and GRI through gap assessments, inventory development, and drafting of quantitative and qualitative responses;
  5. Work with client stakeholders to track and communicate corporate targets, strategies, and goals through activities such as quantitative and qualitative analysis;
  6. Develop basic Scope 3 GHG inventories with prescribed processes as well as guiding customers through their options when choosing a scope 3 calculation methodology;
  7. Research, warehouse, and communicate emerging information and trends relating to global sustainability such as ESG legislation, climate risk and resiliency, corporate social responsibility, supply chain, corporate target setting - through direct client communications as well as other external communications for broader dissemination;
  8. Support with multi-disciplinary teams within Schneider Electric to help coordinate service delivery;
  9. Support relationships with industry working groups, trade associations, regulatory entities, vendors, and product/service companies, in collaboration with service development areas;
  10. Stay current on established and emerging themes in sustainability through intra-team cross-training, participation in external webinars, independent research, and participation in client forums, industry/trade association conferences, and workshops;
  11. Support the analysis, development, and testing of Schneider Electric's proprietary web-based tools;
  12. Learn and demonstrate increasing knowledge of industry concepts regarding energy and sustainability trends, environmental and carbon legislation, and reporting across a broad spectrum of markets.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Sustainability or Environmental Sciences, Energy, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related technical field.
  2. Knowledge with the preparation of greenhouse gas inventories.
  3. Knowledge with the preparation of CDP reports.
  4. Experience and an interest in pursuing a career in sustainability.
  5. High commitment to company vision, values, and excellent customer service.
  6. Analytical self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  7. Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of advanced Excel preferred.
  8. English language advanced.
