Position Overview
This is an exciting position because you will be based at the Reception but also involved in the Food & Beverage department.
This is a fixed term contract for a Maternity cover.
- Provide efficient service for guest registration and departure; maintain accurate guest accounts and provide accurate, helpful information.
- Attend to all incoming calls in a professional and polite manner, constantly striving to provide Total Customer Satisfaction.
- Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety
Duties
- Provide quality service to the customer by responding to their requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during check-in, check-out and throughout their stay.
- Maintain control of guest and hotel accounts ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis.
- Maintain strict security procedures with credit and cash transactions, accounting procedures, issue of room keys and guest confidentiality/privacy
- Maintain communication channels between Hotel guests and all Hotel departments both verbally and in writing as required.
- Handleall calls promptly and professionally, greeting all callers according to Accor policy and transfer all calls to relevant departments responding to requests quickly and efficiently.
- Use every opportunity to promote hotel facilities and maximise sales through sound product knowledge and selling skills.
- Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance ensure items are announced.
- Keep tables and service areas clean and tidy as per procedure manual.
- Ensure room service trays and trolleys are set-up correctly and collected promptly when guest(s) have finished.
- Attend to other duties as requested by Management and Supervisors
General Duties
- Follow the standards and performance outlined during training and in the departmental service procedures manual. Complete all tasks within the shift to these standards.
- Suggest any improvements that could be made to existing services or procedures.
- Attend training programmes and meetings as directed to constantly improve skills and knowledge.
- Follow the expectations and guidelines in the Accor Employee Handbook.
You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position and be in possession of a current work visa.
This position is available on a full time 40 hour contract.
- A self-starter who has the ability to work unsupervised who ideally has experience on either a Hotel Reception and/or in a Hotel Food & Beverage Department.
- Someone with a positive attitude anda genuine customer service focus.
- A fast-thinking,problem solver with initiative that takes pride in creating and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Superb Communication skills to interact with guests and other members of the team.
- Brilliant organisation skills.
Salary £12.20.per hour
