Overview : The Otto Group is seeking two skilled JAVA Backend Developers to join our dynamic team responsible for the ProFile system. ProFile is a cutting-edge solution dedicated to streamlining and enhancing product safety and compliance processes. This innovative system integrates various functionalities to ensure our products meet the highest safety standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities : - Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the ProFile system. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement features that support the ProFile system's vision, including the development of a Digital Product Pass. - Work towards digitizing and centralizing all relevant product information to provide transparent, accessible, and reliable data throughout the product lifecycle. - Empower consumers by developing systems that provide detailed product information. - Support the enhancement of traceability and sustainable practices through software solutions. - Engage in code reviews and collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality code and best practices. Qualifications : - Proficient in Java and Spring Boot, with hands-on experience in backend development. - Familiarity with Kotlin is a plus, but not mandatory. - Solid understanding and experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly desirable. - Strong expertise in infrastructure and system design. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
