Business Development Manager

Selling Lighting solutions into: Retail /Warehouse/Logistics/Data Centres

Are you a driven professional with a proven track record in the Retail (supermarkets and Retail Parks) or Warehousing/Logistics sectors or selling into Data Centres? Do you excel at developing new business and managing key accounts? If so, we want to hear from you! We have 4 industry specific positions available.

Our client, a leading lighting manufacturer, is looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to lead their expansion into these sectors. While experience in lighting solutions is a plus, we are open to candidates with a background in other specification or solutions-based sales who have successfully sold into Retail or Warehousing markets.

Key Responsibilities:

* New Business Development: Identify and engage with potential clients in the Retail and Retail Warehousing sectors.

* Sector Expertise: Leverage your industry knowledge to drive growth and establish our client as a key player.

* Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with major clients like Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Amazon etc.

* Tender Leadership: Lead successful tender bids and manage large-scale, multi-site project rollouts.

* Market Insights: Provide strategic feedback on industry trends and competitor activities to shape business strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven Sales Experience: A successful track record in selling to and managing large accounts in Retail or Warehousing sectors.

* Industry Knowledge: Experience in lighting solutions is preferred, but we welcome candidates from other specification/solutions backgrounds.

* Communication & Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

* Results-Driven: A proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.
