Job Description
2BM Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with our client in Sheffield to recruit a permanent Plater/Fabricator/Welder, working day shifts Monday to Friday with overtime available paid at premium rates. Job Details:
As a Plater\Welder\Fabricator you will be responsible for producing high quality fabrications, on time, to budget and in a safe manner. Working as part of a team and independently manufacturing fabrications that are bespoke and standard. Other duties including, reading engineering drawings, working with a variety of materials such as Stainless, Aluminium, and other materials as required. You will be an experienced Plater / Fabricator that is skilled in welding processes and all aspects of processing steel such as cutting, shearing, drilling, burning, and bending. Working to tolerances and parameters ensuring that quality and productions standards are met. Follow and adhere to procedures, health & safety, and quality to maintain company standards and customer satisfaction.
Pay & Benefits:
Plater / Fabricator / Welder, Permanent fulltime opportunity working Monday to Thursday 7am – 3.30pm with a 12.30pm finish on Friday. Starting hourly rate paying circa £16.00 to £17.00 per hour (negotiable depending on skills & experience.) Overtime available paid at premium rates. Benefits include 33 days holiday (inc 8 bank holidays), contributory pension, PPE & Parking.
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills / qualifications / attributes:
To succeed as a Plater/ Fabricator candidates will ideally be apprentice trained with City and Guilds in fabrication / welding or equivalent including time served and have previous experience Plating, Fabrication, MAG/MIG welding processes etc. You will also have experience of reading engineering drawings with excellent attention to details, problem solving skills and a can-do attitude. Ideally candidates will hold a full driver’s license as you could occasionally be required to travel to customer sites locally.
