Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilise various techniques—networking, market research, project and tender monitoring—to identify and pursue sales opportunities.
  2. Build strong relationships with potential clients by promoting the company’s product quality and services, while demonstrating a commitment to understanding client needs.
  3. Provide tailored solutions for both new and existing customers within the company’s range of products, supported by a highly experienced team.
  4. Deliver excellent customer service by actively supporting both clients and internal staff, ensuring a high level of communication and cooperation.
  5. Maintain strong communication, internally and externally, using meetings, site visits, emails, phone calls, and professional networking platforms.
  6. Differentiate the company’s products and services from competitors, highlighting key aspects of quality and service that positively impact clients’ businesses.
  7. Work to meet key performance indicators and targets related to sales volume, margin, and profitability.
  8. Analyse lost opportunities and propose improvements to enhance future sales success.
  9. Stay up-to-date with compliance and regulatory requirements in the ever-evolving building products and construction environment.
  10. Develop a deep understanding of architectural glass applications to further drive sales.

Experience & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales management role, ideally within the architectural, building, or construction products sector.
  • Experience with glass products, partitioning, balustrading/balconies, or other related products would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of the construction, architectural, and building industry, including market regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term business-to-business relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in managing key accounts.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CRM systems and quotation/ordering software is desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and provide solutions to meet client needs.
  • Deadline-driven and highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
  • A solid understanding of sustainability and environmental goals in the context of building products is a plus.
