Job Description

In this role, you will lead a diverse team and collaborate closely with the Executive Director of Engineering regarding facilities engineering and capital project activities across multiple sites.


  • Oversee all GMP engineering activities.
  • Lead and manage maintenance and project engineering teams, as well as onsite contractor staff.
  • Ensure full operational readiness of facilities and equipment supporting production, lab activities, and warehousing across all sites.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP and other relevant regulations for maintenance and calibration activities.
  • Optimize GMP engineering group systems, plan operational budgets, and support wider engineering initiatives.
  • Represent the engineering department during regulatory and statutory inspections.
  • Manage vendor relationships for equipment maintenance and servicing, in collaboration with procurement teams.
  • Provide oversight for all engineering activities and performance data reporting to senior management.
  • Ensure site processes, procedures, and risk assessments are in compliance with Environmental Health and Safety standards.


Requirements

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience managing engineering operations in a highly regulated manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency with instrumentation, utilities, process engineering, maintenance, automation, computerized systems, and validation in a GMP environment
  • Experience in a start-up environment, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate teams despite limited resources and ambiguity.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to resolve issues constructively in a multicultural setting.
  • Leadership capabilities to inspire and manage talent across the organization.
  • Customer-focused mindset with attention to the impact of decisions on customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, across all levels of the organization.
