Job Description
Chase Taylor Recruitment are currently working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join a long-standing and successful hardware business to cover the South East/East Midlands.
Our client manufactures and distributes system solutions for windows and doors and modern access control systems. They are known for their innovative products and competent services.
The right candidate for this role will have experience working as a sales/business development manager for a window and door hardware company, achieving growth targets while actively promoting employers reputation.

The role responsibilities:
* Achieve or exceed turnover targets for new and existing business, maintaining pricing at or above market levels
* Identify new prospects and report on opportunities to the Sales Director
* Generate new business within the targeted sectors such as retail, trade and new build
* Coordinate project support from office when necessary
* Present high quality business proposals, ensuring the highest standards of personal presentation
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients
* Provide expert advice and maintain industry knowledge by continually updating technical skills related to multi-point locking systems, industry standards, and specifications.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security and weather testing methods for window and door products
* Demonstrate fitting methods and maintenance of company products to specifiers, end users, and commercial clients
* Investigate new product or market sectors and report back with insights on quality and trends
* Attend exhibitions and sales meetings both in the UK and overseas.
* Work in partnership with the Marketing Department to ensure accurate information exchange, providing optimum support for commercial clients
Candidates’ skills & experience:
* Have current or recent experience working as a sales manager/ BDM within the window and door hardware sector
* Can demonstrate good technical skills and information on hardware products
* Be computer literate with experience using Microsoft packages
* Experience selling and promoting to the retail, trade and commercial markets
* Be able to manage own workloads and work towards targets and deadlines
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with people in the business on many levels
* Have a respectable manner and have a conscious mind of presenting employer positively
