Supply Teacher (SEMH) required:
Location: Salford
Contract Type: Temporary (with option for long-term role)
Salary Range: £150 - £190
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced supply teacher to support one of our partner schools for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. This role is one for short-term cover in the first instance, but the option to turn it into a long-term position is very much there, allowing to give it a try, earn whilst you learn, with no additional pressure or initial long-term commitment. As such, a DBS Certificate on the update service and prior teaching experience is required for this one.
Key Responsibilities:
* Individualised Learning: Deliver lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students with SEN, using a variety of teaching strategies and resources based on strong relationships with your pupils.
* Track pupil progress: Conduct regular assessments for learning to identify students' strengths and areas for development, adjusting teaching methods accordingly.
* Inclusive Environment: Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, promoting a sense of belonging for all students.
* Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and interventions in the field of SEN, and apply them to enhance teaching and learning.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
* A DBS certificate on the update service.
* Experience working with students with a range of SEN, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
* Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
* A willingness and enthusiasm for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs with a warm smile on your face!
