Regional Commercial Operations Manager
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum plus performance bonus, company car/car cash allowance, medical cover and pension
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Location: South Region

What you'll be doing;
- Accountable for leading an operational Area across the South Region; including Business Managers, Transfer Station Managers, Industry experts, and Operatives within a Commercial waste & environmental services business.
- Directly influencing business development, growth opportunities, operational excellence and service delivery activities across a portfolio of customers. Embedding Veolia standards and working collaboratively with the senior leadership team.
- Effectively leading and developing Business Managers the team to deliver on all aspects of the Commercial strategy in a safe and legally compliant manner, to maximise profitability, achieve Operational excellence, deliver first class customer service and drive our business purpose.
- Define and establish effective working relationships across wider functions such as Fleet, Customer Services, Sales, Risk and assurance, HR and Finance, ensuring that clear and efficient cross function operational processes are defined, driving accountability and compliance with them.
- Create, implement and lead the short (0-6 months) and medium (12-24 months) strategy for the Area, ensuring engagement and commitment from key stakeholders at all levels.
- Achievement of the Commercial customer success measures across the area - First time collection rate, Recovery collections, Bin delivery, Proactive communication, Invoice accuracy (credit notes & do not invoice), Losses (TTT’s) and call handling performance.
- Support the National Commercial Strategy Manager in rolling out of National Projects under our sustainability, efficiency and growth priorities.
- Lead and support the Business Managers in the delivery of all regional priorities and objectives, aimed at enhancing sustainability, efficiency, growth and engagement.
- Effectively manage the P&L and all aspects of the finance management for the Area, including the production and delivery of budget and forecast expectation as well as commercial modelling.
- Maximise profitability, deliver first class customer service & Operational excellence and drive our business purpose.
- Coordinate/support Infrastructure, Acquisitions and Commercial Projects across the operational territory through efficient planning.
- Be a key driver in delivering net revenue growth and performance, ensuring we are commercially aware whilst driving efficiencies.
- Supporting the Head of Operations in the delivery of all Divisional priorities and objectives, aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
- Providing clear, transparent and accurate reporting of business performance.
- Modelling future capacity and service offerings to maintain strong organic growth as industry, legislation and customer needs evolve.
What we're looking for;
- Ability to effectively manage projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience of change management.
- Experience of producing and presenting financial models and business plans.
- Previous experience within the waste industry is preferred
- Producing reports from BI systems
- IOSH Managing Safely- Preferable
- Level 5 Leadership & Management or equivalent work experience.
- Strong business acumen and operational management experience.
- Financial management experience with experience of producing and presenting financial models and business plans.
- Transport Manager CPC- preferable
- Seasoned leader with demonstrable track-record of leading high-performance.
- Experience of leading and driving transformation and change.
- Strategic thinker who is solution focussed and creative, with the ability to implement strategy and embed into a business.
