Our partner school, that's part of an Ofsted 'outstanding' multi-academy trust, provides a nurturing educational experience for children identified as having social, emotional, and mental health needs. With a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment, the school offers students the opportunity to enjoy a full educational experience where they can thrive emotionally and physically. While primarily catering to children with SEMH needs, the school also provides additional and/or different provisions for a range of other needs, including cognition and learning needs, communication and interaction needs, sensory and/or physical needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
Role Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team to develop, improve, and deliver innovative provisions for children who are not succeeding in mainstream education.
Utilize therapeutically based teaching strategies combined with a caring, understanding, and nurturing approach to classroom and behaviour management.
Provide one-to-one and group support to students with diverse needs in classroom settings.
Foster a nurturing and positive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic success.
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver exciting and engaging learning experiences.
Requirements:
Devotion and resilience to support children with social, emotional, and mental health needs..
Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is desirable..
Ability to motivate students towards high achievement.
Commitment to fulfilling the needs of pupils experiencing behavioural, emotional, or learning difficulties, and social communication difficulties.
