Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer
Location: London
Reports To: Service Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £32000 - £38000 basic

Job Purpose:
The Fire and Security Systems Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of fire and security systems. This includes fire alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and intruder alarms, ensuring all systems meet current standards and regulations. The role will involve both scheduled maintenance and emergency callouts, so flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance: Perform installation, testing, and scheduled maintenance of fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
System Diagnostics and Repairs: Diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and repair faults on various fire and security systems. Document and report findings.
Customer Service: Engage with clients on-site to ensure they understand the work being carried out, maintain high levels of customer service, and provide technical support as needed.
Compliance: Ensure all work meets relevant industry standards, including health and safety regulations, and complies with company policies.
Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation and reports related to maintenance and repairs, logging any issues for record-keeping and follow-up.
24/7 Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide emergency repair and support services as needed.Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fire and security systems engineering (or relevant field).
Technical Knowledge: Proficient in the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIA, BAFE, or NSI) preferred.
Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve technical issues effectively.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and work in a variety of environments.
Driver’s License: Valid driving license is required (a company vehicle will be provided).Additional Requirements:
Flexibility to work unsocial hours when necessary.
