Bookkeeper
Newdigate (Dorking) (Must have experience with Quickbooks)
Part Time 1 day per week
£20 per hour
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join their team for 1 day a week. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:
* Maintain Financial Records: Record daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy in accounts payable and receivable.
* Reconcile Accounts: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card statements with internal records.
* Prepare Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Manage Payroll: Process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees and compliance with tax regulations.
* Monitor Budget: Help track budget variances and assist in budget preparation.
* Support Audits: Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audits.
* Maintain Filing System: Organize and maintain financial filing systems, ensuring all records are easily accessible.
* Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business operations.
Experience:
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
