There is a fixed term position available for 12 months
The shift pattern is 11.5 hours rotational over 24 hours and 7 days.
(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
The Emergency Complex at Glasgow Royal Infirmary comprises the Emergency Department and Acute Assessment Unit, managing approximately 350 patients per day. The complex cares for a varied range of patients from the North East of Glasgow. We require an experienced Band 3 Clinical Support Worker to join our Emergency Department Team.
You will work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to a defined patient group, competently performing the necessary technical, invasive and physical aspects of care. It is preferable that you are competent in extended roles (ECG recording, Venepuncture, Cannulation, as a minimum.) Applicants should have previous experience of working in an Emergency Department or Acute Assessment Unit or equivalent Acute experience.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
