About the role
Working as part of ourfriendlyandsupportive Revenuesteam, you will behandling inbound callsfromresidents,businessesandvisitorsresolving as many as possible at the first point of contact.
Duties also includehandling enquiries received via email and through ouronline forms, occasionallyseeing customers face to facein our reception when back office help is called for and other administrative tasks as required. Toassistin theaccurate Billing,RecoveryandCollectionprocesses oflocal revenues.

What were looking for
We are looking for two Revenues Assistants. One full time 37 hours per week and one part-time 18.5 hours per week.
You will have someprevious Customer ServiceandRevenues experiencebut full training will be given in the call handling process along with office based duties in the environment we work in.
The role also involves someadministration, so greatattention to detailandaccuracyisessential. Other skills we need include:

- Strongcommunicationandempathyskills, with the ability to use a range of communication styles, includinglisteningandquestioning, to provide a personal approach
- Someone who enjoys working and learning with others around them to deliver a great customer service
- The ability to understand, coach and signpost our customers to our digital platforms
- Apositive,can-do attitudewith the ability to have difficult conversations and overcome objections
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- A good standard ofIT literacyand the ability to update in-house systems andspreadsheets.
- Experience of usingAcademyandDocument Management Systemswould be preferred for the updating of Council Tax and Business Rate records.
- Knowledge ofCouncil TaxandBusiness Rates legislation
- Ability to make detailed andaccurate numeric calculations
- Ability to deal with customers and external agencies face to face and by telephone in a polite, courteous and friendly manner
- Ability to produceclear,concise andwell-structured written workincluding outbound E-mails
- Excellent timekeepingwith a reliable and punctual attitude towards work
You will need at least four GCSEs grade 9-4/A to C, or equivalent, including Maths and English to apply.

Salary information:
£14,106-£15, 349 (18.5 hours), £28,032-£30,699 (37 hours)
