Finance Manager

Job Description
Reporting to the CEO (owner), the successful candidate will be responsible for running of finance department, providing leadership, coordination in strategic and administrative matters, business planning, accounting, and budgeting activities of the company. The role is based in our monobrand showroom in central London (Oxford Circus).
Responsibilities
· Monthly/Quarterly management accounts.
· Budgeting & Forecasting.
· Managing detailed cash flow and treasury functions.
· Managing sales invoices and billing for UK and the EU.
· Weekly sales & credit control reports.
· Processing of monthly commission calculations and payroll (sage one payroll).
· Weekly payment runs and making sure suppliers are paid on time.
· Quarterly UK VAT returns.
· Quarterly EU VAT returns (OSS – one stop shop).
· Annual EU VAT and Intrastat returns.
· Managing year end process with the help of external accountants.
· Support the CFO (owner) with ad hoc projects.
· Providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
· Identify opportunities for improving profitability for the business.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or similar, or studying towards one (finalists).
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role (Professional Experience in Accounting).
- Prior experience of working in luxury retail is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrating strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent team and work ethic.
- Problem solving skills.
- Able to prepare and present financial reports to financial and non-financial audiences.
- Excellent excel skills, experience of Sage one payroll, Zoho/Zoho books, Twinfield (accounting) and Newbase (ERP) is an advantage (training will be provided).
- Organised, attention to detail and able to meet deadlines.
- Italian language is a plus but not mandatory.
