Job Summary : We are looking for an experienced DevOps lead to lead our team in building, scaling, and securing our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices across major cloud platforms, along with a proven ability to lead teams and drive strategic initiatives for high-performance cloud environments. This role will also focus on aligning cloud initiatives with business goals and enhancing overall operational efficiency. IT Industry Experience : 6-8 years in DevOps, cloud-based provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting across AWS/GCP environments; proficient in both Linux and Windows operating systems; experience in cloud inventory and cost management. Leadership : Manage, mentor, and guide a team of 3 DevOps engineers to ensure effective operations and team development. DevOps : - Design and implement deployment pipelines using Jenkins and CI/CD tools (Bitbucket). - Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. Self-Managed Infrastructure : - Hands-on management of databases such as MySQL, Kafka, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, etc. - Perform audits and implement best practices for scalability, security, and performance. Cloud Engineering : - Over 4 years deploying infrastructure to GCP and Azure, with experience in CDNs. - Manage Kubernetes, networking, storage, and other cloud resources. - Expertise in VPC peering, VPN connectivity, EKS networking, load balancers, and web application security. - Design high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), backup, and retention architectures oncloud platforms. Reliability Engineering : - Ensure 99.99% uptime through effective design and planning. - Utilize observability solutions (primarily DataDog, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana) for monitoring, metrics logging, alerts, and tracing. - Lead infrastructure incident responses, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures. Platform Engineering : - Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistency and reproducibility across environments. - Make strategic decisions on infrastructure, tooling, and process improvements. - Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet). Security : - Knowledge of security management practices (Endpoint, Vulnerability Management, Firewall, WAF, Control Tower, GuardDuty, Advisor, CSPM). - Familiarity with standards and protocols like ISO, CIS, SOX, HIPAA, TLS, and OAuth. - Conduct regular security assessments and audits, following best practices for data protection and security.
