The college caters for students aged 16-21 with a variety of needs including profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), communication and behavioural difficulties, and specific medical needs. Their mission is to empower each student to achieve their fullest potential through personalized education plans, innovative teaching methods, and a supportive learning environment. The college's cirriculum is centred around preparing the students for adulthood, with a large proportion of their learning taking place out in the community.

Role and Responsibilities: As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting teachers in delivering tailored educational programs and activities.
Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with PMLD, communication and behavioural difficulties, and medical needs.
Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans (BSPs).
Supporting students with daily living skills, personal care, and mobility as needed.
Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure holistic support for each student.
Monitoring and recording student progress and reporting to the relevant staff members.Key Requirements:

Experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs.
Knowledge and understanding of various disabilities and conditions such as PMLD, autism, and behaviours of concern.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN (desirable but not essential).What We Offer:
