Overview:
CHR Recruitment is collaborating with a local company specialising in platform hire. The Access Platform Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of a wide range of access equipment within the organisation. This role is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of various types of access platforms. The engineer will be tasked with diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and conducting routine inspections to guarantee that all machinery complies with safety standards and operates at optimal performance levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Equipment Maintenance: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of access platforms, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
* Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they result in equipment failure, ensuring compliance with industry safety standards and regulations.
* Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in access platforms, and carry out necessary repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs, including detailed reports on the work carried out and parts used.
* Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce the risk of equipment failure and extend the life of access platforms.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to the operations team regarding the proper use and operation of access platforms.
* Inventory Management: Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of necessary components for maintenance and repairs.
* Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, reducing costs, and improving safety standards
