What you’ll be doing


The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing solutions within the domain Operations & Finance Technical Architecture, to provide support to functional domains of Operations & Finance bringing expertise in solution implementation and to build framework and pattern to accelerate delivery and to bring more efficiency and quality (DevOps / automation / Landscape design …).


The responsibilities of the Solution Architect include gathering requirements and functional specifications, evaluating existing solution systems to identify areas for improvement and to validate the design of solutions to be compliant with L’Oreal rules. The Solution Architect works with the Group’s teams in charge of Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and Integration Center of Enablement (COE) and will work closely with run teams to bring continuous improvement.


Main challenges specific to this position



  • Design, describe, and manage the Solution in relation to specific business opportunities or problems.

  • Assessing technical architecture currently in place for the domain and working with Application staff to recommend solutions to improve it (Quality and performance).

  • Explain complex problems in simple terms.

Must have



  • Ability to understand the business of L’Oréal: assimilates the overall business strategy of the company, the long-term needs of users/customers and know-hows to translate them into IT strategy.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.

  • Ability to convert business requirements to business processes and technical designs.

  • Ability to work in a team-based setting and alone in a worldwide environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, including those used to define the stages of a project and implement action plans (Waterfall and Agile).


Nice to have



  • Business knowledge in manufacturing / Supply chain / finance domain will be appreciated.

  • Ability to handle complex situations and act through transversal skills.

  • Entrepreneurship: ability to think innovatively, evaluate and propose new ideas and solutions, while maintaining a pragmatic attitude.

  • Decoding and strength of conviction: ability to generate effective interaction, convince and reconcile to gain ownership and reach a positive and accepted conflict resolution.

  • Ability to promote a collaborative team environment and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve goals in different sectors, countries and cultures to achieve common objectives.

  • A sense of urgency, the ability to make good decisions, and the prioritization of tasks is necessary.


Technical Skills


Must have



  • Experience in various software designs, languages, and architecture especially in SAP context.

  • Strong experience in ABAP programming and best development practices, knowledge of HANA and FIORI would be an advantage.

  • Solution definition and problem-solving skills.

  • Practical experience in project management.

  • Familiarity with computer networks and IT security management.

  • Experience and knowledge of cloud computing. Good understanding of business processes. Strong organizational skills. Strong understanding of analytical skills and techniques. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong knowledge on Cloud, SaaS Integration concept.

  • Experience with architecting complex frameworks.

  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.

  • Experience of a complex worldwide landscape.


Nice to have



  • Strong Experience of major project implementing Operations / Finance application / IS.

  • Experience in leading technical deliveries. (CI/CD).

  • Experience on ESB & API layer (iPaaS/APIGEE).
