Permanent Monday – Thursday 8:30am to 5pm, Friday 8:30am to 4pm

About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Planning, this role manages Production and Network Planners to ensure optimal inventory levels at minimal cost, adhering to planning policies. It is responsible for planning production lines and the warehousing network for up to a year, ensuring NPD and new formats are supply-planned.

The role involves liaising with internal and external customers to maximise inbound service performance and includes a 'dotted-line' responsibility for site Schedulers. It also manages stakeholder communication to address conflicts and capacity constraints, minimising financial and service impacts.

Responsibilities include:

• Execute planning processes to meet customer service levels, optimise efficiency, and manage capital limits.
• Coach the team to manage capacity, reduce labour costs, and maintain service levels.
• Manage KPIs and inventory policies to boost profitability and reduce finished goods working capital.
• Generate inter-site shunting plans to optimise warehouse utilisation and product availability.
• Lead working capital reduction efforts, collaborating with finance, operations, and commercial teams.
• Align demand and supply plans with Relationship and Demand Planning Managers, addressing issues and driving resolution.
• Manage team development, oversee site Schedulers, and mitigate stock risks due to forecast changes or obsolescence.

The ideal candidate for the Planning Manager role will have:

• Demonstrable supply chain experience, together with significant exposure, gained ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods environment.
• Multi-site experience or experience for a large site with multiple production lines.
• SAP experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
