Job Description
Are you passionate about empowering students with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential? Teaching Personnel, a leading educational staffing agency, is actively seeking empathetic and dedicated individuals to join our team as SEN Teaching Assistants across Manchester
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personalised one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN in both mainstream and SEN-specific settings.
Collaborate closely with teachers to create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
Assist students with academic tasks, including literacy, numeracy, and life skills development, adapting teaching materials as necessary.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies and provide emotional support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the holistic development and well-being of students with SEN.
Requirements:
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to working with individuals with diverse learning needs is essential.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support, education, psychology, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is not necessary.
Subject to Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo this process).

- Exposure to a variety of educational settings, including mainstream schools, specialist SEN schools, and inclusion units. - Ongoing training and support from a dedicated team of SEN specialists.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
