Job Description

Religious Studies Teacher required for the winter term

We are currently supporting a large secondary school in the North of Liverpool with the recruitment of a Religious studies teacher to initially cover the winter term but with the potential of the reminder of the academic year. The school offers KS3 & KS4 and you would be joining a community school that has a strong and supportive senior leadership team. The humanities department is very established, so you would be part of a team with lots of support and resources.

Your new roleReligious Education teacher, teaching KS3 & KS4 to pupils. Planning & Delivering engaging lessons and ensuring the pupils are on task and achieving outcomes in every lesson.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality lessons in the absence of the class teacher that meets the needs of all students.Follow the schools rewards and behaviour policy.Be flexible and willing to support across the school in different departments
QualificationsA degree in Religious studies / education or a related subject.Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).Experience teaching at secondary school level.
SkillsExcellent subject knowledge and a passion for working with young peopleStrong classroom management skills.The ability to deliver engaging lessons.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
