Job Title: PHP Developer
Location: Burnley
Salary: £40,000-£50,000
We are hiring for a PHP Developer to join a growing IT team that supports the digital operations of a leading provider of bathroom and heating products. With 10 websites servicing customers globally, the company leverages a customised Laravel platform to integrate logistics and commerce systems, ensuring seamless order fulfilment and business efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate within an in-house development team to enhance and optimise the Laravel-based logistics platform.
Lead individual projects, managing all phases of development and ensuring timely delivery.
Handle bug fixes, system improvements, and change requests.
Work closely with the software testing team to maintain the platform's integrity through thorough testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align digital projects with business objectives.
Support integration projects with third-party services such as payment gateways, marketplaces, and fulfilment partners.
Required Skills:
In-depth knowledge of PHP and Laravel frameworks.
Proficiency in web services, APIs, and MySQL.
Experience with version control systems, preferably Git/Github.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce (Magento 2 Enterprise).
Strong understanding of front-end technologies like JavaScript, React, and Tailwind CSS.
Desirable Experience:
3+ years working with Laravel or similar PHP frameworks.
Previous experience in the e-commerce sector or with third-party integrations, including warehouse management and logistics systems.
