Job Description
Project Quantity Surveyor – Tier 1 Main Contractor – Central London
Are you an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor ready to take on the challenge of helping run large-scale construction projects working for a well-established and respected Tier 1 Contractor in London?
We are currently seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to work on newly secured high-profile project, a £170m hotel fit-out in Southwest London. This position offers a unique opportunity to be the number 2 on-site, assisting in the transformation of an iconic building.
Demolition and strip-out to create new layouts.
Refurbishment of 895 guestrooms, with an addition of 8 new rooms and a rooftop extension for a new bar.
Remodeling public areas, including a new spa, pool, and gym in the basement. Key Responsibilities of the Project Quantity Surveyor:
Ensure that all subcontractor, consultant, and supplier packages align with budgetary constraints. Analyse work package tender returns and submit order recommendations to the Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor.
Manage claims from subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers, securing approval from Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyors to align with the company’s commercial interests.
Attend design meetings to ensure contract compliance and control costs.
In the absence of a Senior Quantity Surveyor, fulfil their duties effectively and report any challenges to the Managing Surveyor or Head of Commercial. Skills and Experience
BSc in Quantity Surveying and Chartered RICS membership (or working toward it).
Knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract (JCT), Standard Methods of Measurement, Building Regulations (incl. Part B), and NHBC Standards.
Must come from a Main Contractor and have experience procuring high risk packages.
Must hold UK or Irish construction experience. Salary and Package for the Project Quantity Surveyor
Up to £75,000 for the successful Project Quantity Surveyor
