Learning Support Assistant - Mental Health

Type: Full-Time / 8.30 - 3.30

Salary: Competitive & experienced based

The Role:

We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join our team. You’ll work closely with pupils, providing personalised support to help them engage with their learning, manage their emotions, and build positive behaviours. Your role will be vital in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

This role is ideal for psychology graduates or those with an interest in educational psychology or mental health. It offers valuable experience working directly with children with SEMH needs, providing insights into child development, behaviour management, and the impact of mental health on learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Assist with classroom activities and behaviour management.
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Collaborate with teachers to create individual learning plans.
Monitor and report on pupil progress.

Experience working with children with SEMH needs (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
