About the role: The Gunnebo Entrance Control HR team is Global and is involved in a range of activities, including employee relations, remuneration and benefits, learning and development, data excellence and management, policy and process improvement, payroll and general HR administration. The role holder will promote a proactive and commercial HR service, providing relevant and appropriate HR support to managers and employees, driving best practice and ensuring compliance with Company procedures, policies and employment legislation. This role will support circ. 100 employees across two locations in Italy, Lavis in Trento and Viomodrone in Milan. Our employees are largely employed in manufacturing/assembly, and we have a smaller proportion of employees dedicated to sales and back-office functions. This role will work from the Lavis manufacturing plant and will have the HR Assistant reporting directly into the role holder. This role is temporary and will run from December 2024 to end of October 2025. What you will do: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, and programs that align with the company’s goals and objectives. Ensuring that diversity and inclusion are embedded in all initiatives. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws, safety regulations and other employment-related matters. Working closely and collaboratively with all Union representatives. Manage employee relations, including addressing employee grievances, conflicts, and other workplace issues. Oversee recruitment and selection activities in partnership with the Global Talent Partner. Oversee all local onboarding and orientation programs. Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance. Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, bonus programs and employee benefits. Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Manage the local performance appraisal process and ensure that all KPI’s are tracked. Maintain accurate HR records, including personnel files, attendance records and other HR related documents. Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover data. Provide support and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and best practice. Manage and mentor the HR Assistant, including providing guidance, coaching and performance feedback. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety policies. Who we are looking for: Experience: Experience of working with CCNL Industria Metalmeccanica Privata. Demonstrable experience, equivalent to 3-5 years, in working as a HR manager in a Manufacturing environment. Demonstrable experience of Payroll systems and compensation processes. Knowledge / Education: Preferred is a degree in humanities, economic or business field. We also give value to other certification or diplomas if accompanied by experience in manufacturing field. Solid knowledge of HR practice and Italian employment law, with proven experience of applying knowledge and finding practical solutions that meet the needs of the manager/team. Competences: Fluent English written and spoken. No less than B2 level. Pragmatic, flexible and adaptable with an ability to tailor approach to different situations and within different operating structures. Excellent interpersonal skills, including emotional intelligence and political awareness, to form effective working relationships at all levels. Strong planning, organizational skills and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands, proven ability to meet deadlines. Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and experience of drafting and presenting clear and concise reports on various issues. Discretion and understanding of confidentiality issues. Excellent attention to detail and highly numerate. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience managing and mentoring HR team members.
