Job Description
YARD MANAGER REQUIRED ** UP TO £34KPA ** IMMEDIATE START
Zoom Recruitment are looking for a Yard Manager to join a company in Brockley on a permenent basis.
Key responsibilities:
* Day-to-day management of the yard / warehouse, staff and drivers
* Report and correct any breaches of Health & Safety
* Supervising day-to-day operations
* Maintain department procedures and stock locations
* Overseeing Goods-In/Out, ensuring that orders are correct and on time
* Be a key holder
* Ensuring security of the branch
* Ensuring yard and warehouse is open on time for trading
Detailed Responsibilities
Goods In
* Oversee that each delivery is checked, and paperwork is brought into the office, instruct where goods need to be placed if required
* All vehicles are unloaded in an allocated unloading area
* Plan and co-ordinate incoming goods
* Ensure supplier vehicles and our vehicles are escorted in and out of the yard correctly and unloaded in designated area
Goods Out
* Ensure the correct loading documents are used by staff
* Plan and co-ordinate the loading of all vehicles in a safe manner and in good time
* Check vehicle loads are correctly and safely before deliveries leave the depot
* Report any differences and amend paperwork to match
* Prepare shipping documentation and any other relevant paperwork
Working Days/Hours
* Monday to Thursday 7am - 4:30pm,
* Friday 7am - 4pm
* Saturday 7:30am - 10:30am
Must have previous experience managing or supervising on a yard. Construction experience is beneficial.
