Wakefield

£42,000 + benefits

Test & Inspection Electrician needed for a well-established facilities management organisation based in the Wakefield area who are looking for a static Test & Inspection Electrician to participate in the team responsible for the day to day operation of the electrical testing and inspection contract.

What the role entails:

As a Test & Inspection Electrician, you will be responsible for:

To operate and maintain the plant at the sites identified above in line with existing procedures, thereby fulfilling site health, safety, environmental, quality and customer service targets. This will include identifying areas for continual improvement.
Complete PPM and reactive works activities in accordance with contract requirements, and in line with company competency appointment(s).
Ensure all statutory records are kept up to date and available for inspection
To be aware of the key financial targets for the site and, in conjunction with the Contracts Manager, carry out his responsibilities in the most cost-effective manner
To ensure that all works under your control are effectively carried out to ensure that any third-party contractors who carry out work on the site do so in a safe and professional manner and abide by the relevant Company procedures and site specific procedures where applicable.
To follow the company procedures and standards as expressed in the Company Handbooks
To complete all administrative functions correctly and efficiently, either paper logbooks or by using appropriate IT software.
To become fully familiar with all Company and site procedures, which affect the contract and carry out all responsibilities detailed in the EMS.
To maintain a good working relationship with customer representatives and work in a manner which ensures that all aspects of the service agreement between us and the customer are delivered with the requisite levels of professionalismExperience required for the Test & Inspection Electrician position:

Apprenticed Trained ECS Gold Card Electrician (Essential)
C&G 2391, or equivalent Testing & Inspection (Essential)
18th Edition Electrical Qualification (Essential)
CMMS (SAM FM) (Desirable)
HNC/HND Electrical Qualification (Desirable)
ISOH/Safety Passport (Desirable)
IT business support systems including SAP and Planon CAFM system
