We are now looking for a Semiconductor Technology Transfer Engineer to join our team.
What our Semiconductor Technology Transfer Engineer will do
Working out of our Manchester site, our Semiconductor Technology Transfer Engineer will be part of our growing Industrial team. Here, you will have a wider responsibility for collaborating closely with various departments and facilitating the transfer of new technologies from R&D to manufacturing.
You will have semiconductor fab experience and not be someone who is happy stuck behind a desk. A quality driven individual with strong communication skills, and with a good understanding of both engineering principles and manufacturing processes, you will be well supported in your role and your career development.
Key responsibilities will include
* Driving and carrying out wafer/process transfer projects between internal and external wafer fab manufacturing locations
* Creating all necessary documentation in support of associated product and process releases
* Driving and carrying out project-based improvement activities in the capability, yield, cost, quality, and delivery performance of external foundries
* Providing and coordinating technical support to external wafer fab manufacturing facilities
* Supporting development activities in external foundries
What you will need
Essential
* Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a relevant discipline
* Familiarity with semiconductor wafer engineering and manufacturing processes and an understanding of MOSFET device physics
* Strong drive and enthusiasm with a continuous improvement mindset
Beneficial
* Understanding of lean manufacturing principles such as SPC (Statistical Process Control) and FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis)
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-cultural and cross-functional teams
* Familiarity with data analysis tools – Extensio preferred
* Flexibility to very occasionally travel to China and Taiwan as required
