Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of People, the Talent Development Lead will lead the coordination and delivery of search and sales training programs across the business.
Designing a TBP methodology for best-in-class sales delivery, this role will focus on organising and facilitating learning sessions, designing engaging training materials, providing at desk training, coaching and mentoring, and managing the administration of development programs.
Working closely with teams across the business, the role will ensure training initiatives meet the needs of employees at various levels and maintain high standards of service delivery and systems utilisation, with a particular focus on early-career professionals within our Central Delivery function (CDF).
This role is perfect for someone passionate about sales, training delivery, and coordinating talent development in the Executive Search industry.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in Training and Development: Proven experience of organising, designing, and delivering training programs within recruitment (and ideally within an Executive Search environment), with a strong focus on facilitation, and hands-on training delivery in person, at desk, and remotely.
- Recruitment Systems Super User: A high working proficiency in Salesforce and LinkedIn recruiter and Talent Insights, plus the ability to learn quickly and incorporate in training programs additional work systems (e.g. CloudCall, Lusha and Mixxyl) is essential.
- Facilitation Skills: Strong facilitation abilities, with experience in leading and co-facilitating interactive and engaging training experiences.
- Program Coordination: Excellent organisational skills to coordinate multiple training sessions and timetables and handle participant logistics.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Experience providing mentorship and coaching, ideally within an Executive Search, recruitment/staffing or sales environment, with the ability to support employees through their development journey.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication, with the ability to provide feedback, lead discussions, and adjust your communication style to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Administration and Record Keeping: Adept at managing training documentation, tracking progress, and using systems to collate feedback, evaluate progress, and generate reports on training outcomes.
- Inclusivity and Accessibility: A commitment to making learning and development programs accessible to everyone, including neurodivergent and disabled employees, and ensuring training content and delivery methods are inclusive.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinating Training Programs
- Training Session Coordination: Plan and organise training sessions, handle logistics, prepare materials, and manage participant registration and communication.
- Managing Training Calendars: Maintain the learning and development calendar coordinating training programs and avoiding conflicts with other priorities.
- Participant Communication: Act as main point of contact for training participants, managing invitations, reminders, and feedback.
2. Designing and Facilitating Learning Sessions
- Training Material Design: Create engaging and accessible training materials accommodating different learning styles.
- Session Facilitation: Lead interactive training sessions on spanning topics such as search methodologies, sales, soft skills, and technical training and ensuring sessions are engaging, relevant and inclusive of diverse user groups.
- Adapting Training to Audience: Customise sessions to meet differing needs e.g. from entry-level employees to more experienced professionals.
3. Coaching, Mentoring, Quality Assurance, and Feedback
- Provide 121 at Desk Training: Provide desk-side training and support, ensuring best practices and data quality.
- Provide Mentorship: Offer mentorship and coaching to employees, especially those early in their careers, helping achieve their learning goals.
- Deliver Feedback: Give clear, constructive feedback to participants during and after training sessions, providing positive reinforcement and suggestions for improvement.
- Facilitate Peer-to-Peer Learning: Promote collaborative learning through mentoring programs and team-based learning activities.
4. Administrative Support for Learning and Development
- Training Documentation: Documentation of all training sessions and maintenance of attendance records, training materials, and participant feedback.
- Tracking and Reporting: Monitor employee development and generate reports on participation and training outcomes.
- Feedback Collection: Gather and use feedback to improve training programs.
5. Supporting the Business’s Development Needs
- Skills Gap Identification: In discussion with managers, identify learning needs and skills gaps, proposing relevant training sessions.
- Tailored Development Plans: Design individual development plans aligned with their career goals and role requirements using the 70-20-10 model.
