HOI People & Engagement Head Coach/ Manager

The People & Engagement Head Coach will support and partner with key business stakeholders and leaders to achieve the business strategy by providing support on talent management (employee performance), team effectiveness, organizational design, organizational effectiveness, and diversity, equity, and inclusion solutions.

The People & Engagement Head Coach will need to understand the business priorities and use relevant data to translate into a people strategy that will deliver high value for the organization, ultimately impacting performance, retention, and the overall employee experience.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Store Director, your mission will be to create an environment within the store that provides a premium employee experience through scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, engagement, wellbeing, training rollouts, talent development, and all relevant people topics.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities include:

  1. Collaborates with store management on organization design, workforce planning, and talent management to build a strong pipeline within the organization.
  2. Works closely with talent acquisition partners to attract great talent and ensure a diverse talent pipeline.
  3. Assesses employee training and development needs to help close gaps between current and future skill sets.
  4. Works with the team and leadership to continuously evolve and elevate retail fundamentals and support from a people perspective.
  5. Monitors the pulse of the organization to create locally relevant solutions and proactively reviews existing core processes, including store-level training initiatives and annual review processes.
  6. Delivers the annual employee engagement survey strategy for HOI and deploys an action plan.
  7. Works on DE&I topics and priorities by following up and deploying initiatives and calendar activities.
  8. Creates tools, platforms, and processes that support store leadership with the employee lifecycle.
  9. Champions new initiatives to ensure the acceleration of the next generation of leaders in-store.
  10. Partners with store management, local HR, and Employee Relations (ER) to ensure cases are handled well.
  11. Builds strong partnerships across the greater Paris stores team to support talent mobility and progression, ensuring effective collaboration and providing insights into strategies and priorities.
  12. Builds effective working relationships with key stakeholders and employees at all levels of the organization.
  13. Performance management - Collects documentation and supports managers on the performance management cycle.
  14. Supports HR topics/initiatives to be cascaded in-store in collaboration with the local HR team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. 5 years of organization development, training, or related field experience.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management.
  3. A minimum of 4 years management experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Thought leader with the proven ability to influence decisions by gaining trust and acting with courage and credibility with key stakeholders.
  2. Experience working in and managing times of ambiguity; ability to deal with situations that may not have a system or process in place.
  3. Experience balancing business partnering skills with employee advocacy.
  4. High-level understanding of local employment law.
  5. Experience with budgeting and planning.
  6. Extensive experience leading the delivery of high levels of customer service in a brand retailer.
  7. Fluent in English.
  8. Ability to build, lead, and manage high-performing teams.
  9. Ability to utilize tools for conflict resolution and employee coaching and counseling.
  10. Ability to drive projects and manage project teams.
  11. Ability to work effectively in a retail team environment.
