Spire Wellesley, rated Good by the CQC, provides an extensive range of acute and diagnostic services, attracting increasing patient numbers from across the South East of England. The Hospital enjoys the benefits of being established more than 40 years within its local community and sustained site investment is creating opportunities for further growth. Southend is only 20 miles from the M25 and Spire Wellesley Hospital is a couple of miles from the town centre, just off the A127. We are a short taxi ride from the train station, which has a fast and regular connection to London Liverpool Street.

This key and visible role presents you with an enviable opportunity to join our business, where you will have an established and experienced senior management team, including site based Finance Director. Additionally, you will lead a committed local workforce and benefit from sound relationships with our consultants and local NHS partners. This provides you with a sound platform from which you can develop your own business strategy. Key aspects of your role include:


  • In conjunction with your team, build and lead a world class, high performing hospital teams, who are committed to and engaged in the Spire vision and Purpose.
  • Leading on local Hospital and group wide specific change, transformation and site business improvement projects.
  • Guiding all hospital related capacity management ensuring maximised efficiency, growth opportunities and business objectives are exceeded.
  • Driving commercial growth including developing and capitalising on business and new partnership arrangements to maximise on local opportunities.


Interested?

To be successful in this role you will need to be a natural leader, effective team player and strong influencer able to build momentum that delivers continuous professional & service improvement, whilst operating successfully within a complex, matrix and multi-stakeholder environment.


Ideally, you will offer previous experience in a similar role within the healthcare provider sector. You may already be familiar with the role of registered manager in the private healthcare provider sector, or, have operated at board level within the NHS. Your reputation for transparent and engaging leadership, focus on excellence in customer service and business acumen sets you apart from your peer group.
