Responsibilities

Key Areas

General

?Ensure a safe working environment and culture at all times respect Health & Safety Legislation and Valeo working practices.

?Ensure vigilance for self and others with regards Health & Safety at all times

?All employees are required to apply Valeo 5 Axe standards in daily work

?Ensure good interaction with team members and other teams

?Ensure all procedures are followed in carrying out the required tasks

?Picking customer orders

?Packing customer orders

?Replenishment of stock

?Re-boxing

?Identifying non-conforming stock

?Kitting for stock and transfer orders

?Goods inwards inspection

?Efficiently put away deliveries within 48 hours of receipt, operating a clear floor policy

Inbound Team

?Goods inwards inspection

?Efficiently put away of deliveries within 48 hours of receipt, operating a clear floor policy when possible.

?Identifying non-conforming stock

?Safety & Environment.

?Ergonomics Promote awareness to Team Leader of any concerns.

?Accidents Ensure any accidents or near misses are brought to the attention of the warehouse manager immediately.

?Risk assessments - Involved with reviews with the Health & Safety and Warehouse Managers and promote any concerns or new organisation for assessment.

?Ensure appropriate work wear and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is used at all times in line with work instructions.

Quality.

?Equipment check All equipment used in the zone is inspected daily (pre-shift & end of shift check) with any deviations to be escalated to the Warehouse Manager.

?Stop at the first defect Ensure the line is stopped every time we detect a defect.

?Standardised work Work to instructions and standards provided.

?QCDM Be aware of team indicators & directly input into targets & objectives.

Delivery.

?Demonstrate flexibility to meet the daily demands of our customers.

?Communication Participates in daily meetings and escalate issues to the Team Leader as appropriate.

?Daily replenishment to maximise the picking flow of customer orders.

?Ensure storage conditions are consistent with Valeo standards.

The Person:

?Someone full of energy with a conscious mind and able to work in a small team environment.

?Working knowledge of warehouse & materials management would be an advantage.

?Counterbalance & reach fork lift truck licence holder desirable.

Education/Training

?GCSE English & Mathematics (or equivalent).

?Computer literate Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint (ECDL level) and SAP desirable.
