Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Teaching Assistants/Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join a large Secondary School based in the Cardiff area.
You will be working in their Behaviour unit, so experience dealing with Challenging Behaviours is essential to the role.
The right Teaching Assistant/Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will be patient, nurturing and kind as well as having a top quality ability to deal with challenges faced in the classroom. As the role is within a Secondary school, the right candidate will have brilliant classroom management but also not be afraid to have fun and get involved with activities!
You will be working closely with pupils with ASD, ADHD, Social Behavioural Disorder as well as more complex needs. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking for a rewarding and fulfilling role within education.
There are part-time and full-time opportunities available.
Key skills and competencies for the role include:
• A Teaching Assistant/HLTA Qualification and/or 6 months experience working with children;
• ALN experience and experience working with Challenging Behaviour;
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills;
• The ability to work well within a team environment If your skills and competencies do not match the above criteria, we would still love to hear from you as there are various outstanding roles at the moment that may be suitable to you.
