Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in an Alternative Provision setting in Sheffield. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with challenging behaviour, helping them to overcome obstacles and thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide mentorship and guidance to students experiencing behavioural challenges
Implement individualised behaviour plans to support student's needs
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement strategies for student success
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents/guardians regarding student progress and behaviour.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with students with challenging behaviour, ideally in a school or AP setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and de-escalate difficult situations
A genuine passion for supporting and empowering students to reach their full potential
Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or a related field
