The role

Are you a proven Architect with experience working in the Social Housing sector? If yes, then this may be the perfect role for you!

We have a great opportunity that has arisen for aSenior Design & Technical Manager.Youll lead on providing architectural and technical support and guidance to the wider department on design matters, working closely with colleagues from pre-inception stage through to the end of the Defects Liability Period. The focus is to ensure that full design and technical reviews are completed, that the most appropriate construction methods and materials are specified, and that our standard documentation is robust and current, to ensure our risks are fully mitigated.

Please note that this role is being offered on a Fixed Term Contract / Secondment until 22/01/2026. You canbe based at either our office in Farringdon, Croydon, Sittingbourne, Maidstone or Battle, with the option for working in a hybrid way as agreed with your manager.

What you'll have

• RIBA, CIAT, CIOB, or similar construction related membership and qualification, or qualified by equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of building components and construction methodology.
• A track record of operating at a high level within a large and complex organisation, with particular experience in the social housing sector.
• Good communication skills, both orally and written, using a range of techniques and tools to convey messages.
• The ability to present complex informationin a clear, transparent, and readily understandable manner.
