Job Duties
This position plans and supervises major fiscal, human resource, procurement, and support functions including all major projects in the Eastern Region. Provides guidance to Business Managers and Human Resource Officers with regard to budget, overtime, inventory, full-time employees (FTE), and creation of positions. Coordinates fiscal, human resource, procurement and support functions to field unit/work centers with person assigned to field units and Superintendents. Assists institutions and field units with six-year plan, providing guidance as appropriate. Assists in the administration, coordination and development of fiscal, human resource, procurement, projects and support functions of the Eastern Region. Ensures regional requirements, procedures, regulations, directives and standards are met with regard to fiscal, human resource, procurement, projects and support functions. Recommends improvements in facility operations. Reviews human resource, procurement and fiscal unit operational policies to ensure units are functioning in accordance with all policies, directives and standards. Ensures a safe, sanitary, and healthy work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of corrections, public sector, budget, finance, expenditure projections, procurement and human resource operations. Ability to successfully plan, organize, and monitor a variety of programs/projects within the region. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Ability to work effectively with supervisors and subordinates as well as community-based agencies and groups. Must have a thorough knowledge of effective management principles.
Additional Considerations
Extensive progressively more responsible experience in budget, fiscal, and human resources.
