Process Engineering Overview

Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality for AbbVie’s Interns.

The Process Engineering Intern at the Wyandotte site will be responsible for delivering three key projects that are critical to our business. These projects will provide a great opportunity for the intern to be involved in several key functions in operations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide support to the Wyandotte production facility by leading and supporting two capital projects and developing batch records and procedures for one segment of the operation. Develops procedure, change documentation and other project related documents as required. Provides technical support in installation and qualification of a new instrument. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a bachelor's in chemical engineering or another related field
  • Must be enrolled in university during the internship period
  • Expected graduation date between December 2025 – June 2026

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including analysis.
  • Self-motivated; ability to execute with limited supervision and direction. Can work independently or part of a team.
  • Can work cross-functionally with other departments/functions.
  • Proficient in required software including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
