The Folsom Parks & Recreation Department is looking for one (1) Office Assistant to assist the department on a part-time basis, with work ranging from entry level filing and data entry to more specialized and skilled clerical and field work. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator who works well in a team environment. They will provide excellent, timely customer service to both internal and external customers in person, by phone, and in writing. Additionally, the candidate should be highly organized, skilled in data entry and cash handling, and adaptable to changing priorities.

(2) Lifting: frequently up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 25 pounds. (3) Vision: constant use of overall vision; frequent reading and close-up work; occasional color and depth vision. (4) Dexterity: frequent repetitive motion; frequent writing; frequent grasping, holding, and reaching. (5) Hearing/ Talking: frequent hearing and talking, in person and on the phone. (6) Emotional/ Psychological: frequent decision-making and concentration; frequent public and/or coworker contact; occasional working alone. (7) Environmental: frequent exposure to noise.
Schedule is limited to no more than 999 hours per fiscal year. Temporary, hourly positions are not eligible for benefits.

- Must be able to work afternoons.
- Duration: position is ongoing as long as needed and supported by the budget.
- Non-exempt, $19.00 - $24.00 per hour. Starting rate will depend on experience.
- Part-time positions are hourly and not eligible for benefits, and are limited to working 999 hours in a fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). No full-time regular appointment will be made from this class.
