Summary


The Senior IT QA Automation Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through meticulous testing and analysis in a multi-product microservice architecture. This role leads testing efforts by designing, implementing, and executing test plans, test cases, and test automation frameworks in an Agile and CI-powered environment. The Senior IT QA Automation Tester identifies software issues, collaborates with development teams to resolve bugs, and ensures the final product meets both functional and non-functional requirements, such as performance, security, and scalability. Reports to Quality Manager. Interacts with Quality Lead, IT Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Security, Developers and Business Users for Projects.


Essential Functions




  • Develop Quality Scope/Strategy




  • Develop test cases in a timely manner




  • Execute test cases and evaluate results against expected results




  • Retest resolved defects on each release and maintain test cases and documentation




  • Participation in Quality reviews and validation of requirements, architecture diagrams, acceptance criteria and other related documents.




  • Produce all required project documentation related to the Quality activities in accordance with the Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE)




  • Development and Training of Ryder’s TCOE




  • Assist Quality Manager and Quality Lead with enhancements to current methodology




  • Subject matter experts for Quality process and tools used




Additional Responsibilities




  • Assist with development of Quality Strategy and scope




  • Assist with Quality Project Plan & Budget Development




  • Establishing appropriate quality gates




  • Prepares and gives presentations related to Quality activities to business users and project team




  • Gather project requirements and specifications from vendors, project managers and end-users




  • Oversee project test planning and execution




  • Coordinating all testing efforts including the setup and use of testing environment




  • Participates, as required, in a hands-on role, contributing with his/her technical/functional expertise




  • Ensuring that releases adhere to established quality standards and measurements




  • Tracking project workload and ensuring that projects adhere to proposed schedule




  • Communicating project status to all appropriate and interested parties




  • Anticipating and addressing project obstacles




  • Issue Resolution/Escalation




  • Recognizing and communicating individual and team contributions




  • Coordinates and participates in post-implementation reviews




  • Liaison with application or customer verticals, product teams on a regular basis to ensure that upcoming work is planned




  • Perform or assist with planning, development and execution of test automation




  • Perform or assist with planning, development and execution of performance test




  • Foster the team environment through active, hands-on participation and through coaching and mentoring




  • Encourage sharing of ideas and consideration of all viewpoints among the team members




  • Provide challenge & direction to the team to help achieve high performance




  • Review/Validation of team member test cases and test results as needed




  • Reviews compliance with current standards and procedures




  • Identifying, improving, and implementing standards for Quality




  • Assist team members on best practices




  • Quality productivity and testing tools




  • Maintenance of Quality Tools as needed




  • Provide team with quality techniques and tool




Skills and Abilities




  • Excellent documentation and communication skills. Required




  • Strong Project Management Skills Required




  • Must be flexible and motivated and work well as part of a team. Required




  • Must be a quick learner, required.




  • Sets quality standards and mentors team regarding quality and best practice, required.




Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering/technology, required.




  • Three (3) to five (5) years or more quality engineering, software testing field, required.




  • Three (3) to five (5) years or more quality assurance, quality engineering, process and procedure, required.




  • Testing tools like Selenium, Tosca, Cypress, Jmeter, Load Runner Intermediate Required




  • Azure DevOps (ADO) and test manager feature Intermediate Required




  • Understanding of agile Software development methodologies, values and procedures Intermediate Required




  • Database Testing Intermediate Required




  • Able to develop, maintain and execute functional test automation scripts Intermediate Require

Compensation Information :


The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc.


Compensation ranges for the position are below:


Pay Type :


Salaried


Minimum Pay Range:


$84,000.00


Maximum Pay Range:


$94,000.00


The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
